Also, the sound quality, even with a fresh stylus, didn't match what was already on the turntable. Amazon was gracious about returning my $$ for this purchase. I bought this cartridge to replace a cartridge in a used Technics turntable I bought. Had the new cartridge off and packaged to send back to Amazon.com within 1/2 hour. Thanks, Amazon. Turns out I should have looked harder for a new stylus for THAT cartridge, as this one I put in worked more poorly than the one that was already on the turntable (a higher-level gold Audio-Technica P-Mount cartridge). The record stuck, which hadn't happened before.
They spun around in the housing. Very good for an inexpensive cartridge. I found setting up the cartridge difficult. Once set up the sound was even and warm to me. I use it for my second turntable (Technics SL B2) that is used for the primary listening in the family before I record an album. Since the stylis is completely under the housing there is little room for error. The included nuts did not fit the housing.
I received exactly what I wanted in less than a week. I was very pleased with my purchase.
Although I sent it to Cuba, my family said that is such a nice equipment.
Rather than spend $22 on a replacement stylus, I popped for a pair of these A-T and am very satisfied. It took the place of the standard cartridge included with an Icon USB turntable (a bad choice on my part, BTW), the stylus of which bent to an unusable angle for no particular reason. No audiophiliac pretensions, to be sure, but a well-made product at a decent price. It has been my (long) experience that Audio Technica products are generally competently designed and remarkably durable in actual consumer use. This little workhorse (AT-pl120)is no exception.
